PARK RIDGE, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference office announced the weekly women’s basketball Players of the Week on Monday. Below are this week’s honorees:

Co-Players of the Week:
Jantel Lavender, Ohio State
6-4, Sr., C, Cleveland, Ohio/Central Catholic

Lavender extends her conference-record total of Big Ten Player of the Week honors to 19 after helping Ohio State to two conference wins last week. In a victory over No. 23/25 Penn State Thursday, she posted a double-double with 23 points and 11 boards. Against Purdue on Sunday, the senior again totaled 23 points, this time hauling in nine rebounds to finish the week averaging 23.0 points, 10.0 rebounds.

Kalisha Keane, Michigan State
6-1, Sr., F, Ajax, Ontario/Westdale

Keane records her first Big Ten Player of the Week honor of the season after helping the Spartans clinch a share of their first Big Ten Championship since 2005. She averaged 22.0 points on 53 percent shooting, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals in week that saw Michigan State knock off Northwestern and Illinois. She scored 17 points with six boards in a win over the Wildcats before pouring in a team-high 27 points with four rebounds and three steals in the triumph over the Illini.
