COLUMBUS, Ohio – Men’s tennis captain Kyle Seelig was one of 172 student-athletes to earn their degrees from Ohio State this spring.
The Hatfield, Pa., native received his degree in middle childhood education. He finished up strong, earning a fourth OSU Scholar-Athlete distinction as well as a likely fourth Academic All-Big Ten selection.
Seelig was 19-6 in singles and 12-2 in doubles this season and has 148 combined wins in his career. He is going to use the NCAA waiver granted to spring sport athletes to return next season and once again captain the team. He has a chance to finish in the top-10 in school history for combined victories.
Seelig has been part of 146 team victories over the past four and a half seasons as well as four Big Ten regular season and tournament titles. He has yet to lose a team match to a Big Ten team, going a perfect 58-0. Seelig and the Buckeyes are currently riding a 92-match home win streak.
