COLUMBUS, Ohio-Kaleb Wesson, a junior center on the No. 10 Ohio State men’s basketball team, has been named the Big Ten Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Wesson helped the Buckeyes to a 76-51 win over No. 10 Villanova last Wednesday in Columbus with 10 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks, three assists and a steal.
The double double was his second of the season and eighth of his career.
Ohio State (3-0) is back in action at 8:30 p.m. today at Value City Arena vs. Stetson.
The Buckeyes moved into the Top 10 of the Associated Press Poll earlier Monday. The Buckeyes were last ranked among the Top 10 in February of 2018.
Overall, Ohio State is 366-77 when ranked among the Top 10.
