COLUMBUS, Ohio – Freshman Justin Ah Chow (Alpharetta, Ga.) was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second time this season following a win at home against Navy, the Big Ten announced Tuesday.
In competition against Navy, Ah Chow competed in three out of six events placing first on parallel bars (14.100), third on high bar (13.650), and sixth on vault (14.250).
Ah Chow was previously named Big Ten Freshman of the Week following his college debut in a tri-meet in which Ohio State hosted Oklahoma and Arizona State. Ah Chow competed in four out of six events, placing second on parallel bars (13.900), sixth on pommel horse (12.900), sixth on vault (14.250) and tied for seventh on high bar (13.150).
This season, the Buckeyes have received three Big Ten Freshman of the Week titles (Justin Ah Chow, Jan. 21; Kazuki Hayashi, Jan. 28; Justin Ah Chow, March 3). Up next, Ohio State is set to compete against Iowa and Northern Illinois University in the Arnold Challenge Saturday, March 7.
