ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Jamie Stone, a junior on the Ohio State women’s gymnastics team, participated in the early session of the NCAA Championships Friday afternoon at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis. The Chesapeake, Va. native concluded her impressive junior campaign by finishing 40th on vault with a score of 9.6125.
Stone was a constant on vault, balance beam and floor exercise for the Buckeyes in 2018. She stood on the podium 15 times during the season, including seven first-place finishes. She also set career marks on all three apparatuses this season. Stone posted a team- and career-high 9.950 on floor exercise (Jan.27) and 9.925 on balance beam (Mar. 11). She hit her career-best 9.900 twice on vault at the Big Ten Championships (Mar. 24) and NCAA Columbus Regional (Apr. 7).
