RENO, Nev. — Donovan Hewitt, an incoming Buckeye, earned a spot in the 2019 U.S. Gymnastics Championships over the weekend with a stellar performance at the 2019 Men’s Junior Olympic National Championships.
Hewitt finished in sixth place with a weekend score of 133.100. His combined 24.400 on the vault was good for third place, and he took fourth on the high bar with a 21.600. Hewitt tied for fourth in the floor exercise with a 22.850, and he tied for sixth on the parallel bars with a 22.450.
Before Hewitt can suit up for the scarlet and gray he’ll compete at the 2019 U.S. Gymnastics Championships on August 8-11 in Kansas City, Missouri.
