The Ohio State University Ice Rink has offered group lessons since 1961. The rink is a member of the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Program and the Ice Skating Institute. The staff consists of highly qualified instructors who have competed, taught and performed with both amateur and professional skating organizations.
All adult classes meet on Sunday evenings starting on Mar. 10, 2019. The fee for the adult lessons is $90.00 for six 45 minute classes. Students will receive a LESSON PASS that may be used at the rink’s public ice-skating sessions.
Three Adult Classes will be offered:
7:45-8:30 pm – Beginner Adult (For Beginners with little to no skating expereince)
7:45-8:30 pm – Intermediate Adult (Must be able to skate forwards, backwards and be able to stop)
8:30-9:15 pm – Freestyle Adult (For more advanced figure skaters that have their own skates. Must be able to do forwards & backwards crossovers as well as 3-turns to participate in this class)
Adult Skating Lesson Dates
Tots (ages 3–6) and Basic 1 (beginners) through Freestyle (advanced) will begin on Sunday Mar. 10, 2019. The fee for Tots through Basic 3 is $90.00 for six, 30-
minute classes. The fee for Basic 4 through Freestyle is $90.00 for six 45-minute classes. Students will receive a LESSON PASS that may be used at the rink’s public ice-skating sessions.
Children’s Skating Lessons Dates
All hockey classes meet on Sunday afternoons starting Mar. 10, 2019. The fee for the adult lessons is $90 for six 1 hour classes. The fee for the beginner hockey lessons is $90 for six 1-hour classes, and for children ages 6-15. The required equipment for the hockey class is listed on the application. Students will receive a LESSON PASS that may be used at the rink’s public ice-skating sessions.

• Skate rental is $3.00 for practice times, per open skate.
• Classes subject to change due to Ohio State Football/Varsity Hockey conflicts.
• All classes subject to cancellation due to low enrollment.
