FORT WORTH, Texas—The Ohio State number one showed up again today as Will Grimmer turned in a stellar three under 67 in the second round of the Nike Collegiate Invitational. With his 72 yesterday and 67 today, Grimmer is one under par for the tournament, good enough for a piece of 9th place going into Tuesday’s final round. His round featured 11 pars and five birdies on the 7,200 yard Colonial Country Club.
Daniel Wetterich also carded a quality round today, shooting 72 to put him six over and tied for 37th for the tournament. Shooting a four over 74, Caleb Ramirez contributed a score for his team and sits at 13 over for the tournament and tied for 70th. Kevin Stone and Will Voetsch shared the final spot for the Buckeyes after both carding 75 and sitting in 57th and 54th respectively. The team sits in 13th place at 21 over after shooting eight over as a team today.
The Buckeyes return to action tomorrow at Colonial for the third and final round of the Nike Collegiate Invitational at 8:45 AM.
