Kelsey Nolan, a senior midfielder on the Ohio State field hockey team, is set to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in linguistics on Sunday.
Following graduation, Nolan will return home to Lancaster, Pa. where she will be teaching ESL students.
The senior captain started all 20 games for the Buckeyes this season and played in 44 total games for Ohio State. Nolan, a first-team All-Big Ten and NFHCA All-West Region honoree, recorded three goals this season for the Buckeyes and added five assists. Highlights of her final season include scoring the game-winning shot in the shoot-out victory over Rutgers and assisting the double overtime goal to defeat the Scarlet Knights again and send Ohio State to the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament. In addition, she was named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team.
Aside from on-field success, Nolan excelled in the classroom, maintaining a 4.0 throughout her academic career at Ohio State. She is a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and an Ohio State Scholar Athlete.
