Goldean Named to 2021 NFHCA Division I Senior Team

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior Emma Goldean, who earlier this month was named a second team All-Big Ten selection, added another postseason honor to her resume on Monday when she was selected to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Senior Team.

All ten Division I conferences and five NCAA regions that sponsor field hockey are represented on the list of 2021 honorees. The selected student-athletes were nominated by their NFHCA member coach and were chosen based on their career accomplishments.

Goldean was Ohio State’s leading scorer in 2021 with 11 points on five goals and one assist. For her 72-game Ohio State career, Goldean scored 13 times and added 12 assists for 38 points. Over her final two seasons – the spring of 2021 and fall of 2021 – Golden produced 25 points in 34 games.

This past fall, Goldean played in and started all 18 games for the Buckeyes. Her best statistical game came on Oct. 10 against Ohio when she scored twice in a five-minute span during the third quarter to help Ohio State to a 4-3 win.
