Giving Challenge Announced For College Football Playoff

Dec. 21, 2016

Coach Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes are heading to the Fiesta Bowl and the College Football Playoff! In addition to the matchups on the gridiron between the Buckeyes vs. Tigers and the Huskies vs. Crimson Tide, a Giving Challenge has been announced as we enter the final days of 2016.

The 2016 College Football Playoff Participant Giving Challenge is a four day competition between the four playoff schools in an effort to raise funds for each participant’s respective athletic department. The institution with the highest number of gifts made during the four day challenge will be declared the winner in the New Year.

The Giving Challenge will begin at 12:00am on Wednesday, December 28 and will run through Saturday, December 31 at 11:59pm. If you plan on making a donation before the end of the year, we encourage you to make a gift during this time frame! Ohio State supporters around the country are known for their loyalty and enthusiasm, and we hope all of Buckeye Nation will help make OSU #1 in the College Football Playoff Participant Giving Challenge.

All gifts, regardless of size, make a difference and help in our mission of providing world-class collegiate experiences to our Buckeye student-athletes. Show your pride and belief in the Ohio State Buckeyes by making your gift between December 28 and December 31. To make a gift, visit

Your participation matters – we can’t do it without you. GO BUCKS!
