Get to Know the Freshmen: Kiana Perez

Follow along and get to know the newest members of the Buckeye women’s lacrosse program.

Today, meet midfielder Kiana Perez, who came to Ohio State from Granite Bay, Calif.

Buckeye head coach Amy Bokker on Kiana …

“We are excited to add a player from out west to our roster. Kiana is a speedy midfielder who is tenacious and makes the hustle plays. She is gritty between the 30s and has a determination for ground balls.”

Kiana, on why she chose Ohio State …

“I chose Ohio State because as soon as I stepped onto campus, I knew there was no other place I’d rather spend the next four years! The energy in Columbus is unmatched and even though the university is one of the largest in the country, it feels small in the sense that you can walk around campus and know you have at least one thing in common with every other student – your overwhelming love and support for Ohio State. This is not only embodied in the student body, but in the women’s lacrosse team as well. I was immediately attracted to the pride and love the team has for each other as well as who they play for. On top of this, I’d also receive a great mixture of quality academics and athletics and have access to resources that will help set me up for the future in the best way possible. I’m beyond excited for this journey I’m about to embark on and so proud to call myself a Buckeye!”
