COLUMBUS, Ohio – Olivia Zettervall, a captain and state champion at Cape Henry Collegiate, is set to further her academic and athletic career as a member of the Ohio State field hockey program.
Zettervall was a winner at Cape Henry Collegiate. Three times teams that she played on won state championships and three times she was a Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools first-team selection.
An all-around athlete, Zettervall also played soccer, basketball and ran indoor track at Cape Henry Collegiate. On the soccer field, she was an all-state honoree at goalie. And she still found time to be an excellent student as she was a member of the National Honor Society.
“I love the atmosphere, the people and the coaches,” Zettervall said in a commitment feature on MaxFieldHockey.com. “I also liked that they had a lot of majors to choose from and strong academic support.”
A defender, Zettervall is the second Cape Henry Collegiate graduate in as many years to sign with Ohio State. Last year, Ali Gordon was a freshman with the Buckeyes and played in 13 games.
