Get to Know A Buckeye Newcomer | Juliette Duquesne

Columbus, Ohio – Juliette Duquesne signed a national letter of intent to further her academic and athletic career as a member of the Ohio State field hockey program, head coach Jarred Martin announced.

Duquesne, a versatile defender/midfielder, comes to America after completing her high school education at College Saint-Pierre (Uccle) in Belgium. Duquesne has represented her country on the international level playing for the U18 and U21 national teams.

Duquesne comes from a talented family to say the least. She has two sisters who represent the Belgium national team on a regular basis, and she has aspirations of following their footsteps.

Why Did You Choose Ohio State
“I chose Ohio State because I got along with this coaching staff very well, and I was really impressed with the facilities that Ohio State had to offer. I knew coming here that I could be a part of something special.”

Major: Undecided

Plans After Graduation: Wants to keep playing field hockey at a high level and represent the Belgium national team as long as possible

Favorite Pastimes, Hobbies, Etc.: In addition to playing field hockey, Juliette likes to play tennis, ski and travel. She lists Thailand and Cuba as some of the top places she has visited

Greatest Sports Thrill: Suiting up for her country and representing Belgium with the U18 and U21 teams

Relatives Who Were/Are Athletes: Two sisters currently represent the Belgium national team. She also has two cousins that were members of the Belgium national team in the past
