COLUMBUS, Ohio – Samuels Gens and Bernard Melus, both sophomores on the Ohio State Pistol team, are set to shoot in the Junior Free Pistol competition at the 2018 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Championships in Changwon, South Korea (Aug. 31-Sept. 14). The entire championships spans over two weeks, but the Buckeye pair will shoot on Sunday, Sept. 2.
More than 1,800 athletes from 90 different counties will compete in total. The ISSF World Championships are held only once every four years. Ohio State assistant coach Anthony Lutz will travel as well to aide in the Buckeyes’ efforts.
