COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jaclyn Lee, Alanis Sakuma, Adeena Shears and Rio Watanabe, members of the Ohio State women’s golf team, have each garnered 2017-18 All-American Scholars status, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced. To earn the honor, recipients must carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average.
The award is the third for Lee, who just completed her junior campaign. Watanabe earns her second such honor after wrapping up her Buckeye career this spring while Sakuma and Shears, a freshman and sophomore, respectively, pick up their first WGCA All-American Scholar recognitions.
