COLUMBUS, Ohio Ohio State will conclude its 2008 spring football practice with an intrasquad game Saturday. The OSU men’s lacrosse team will host Denver in the first portion of the day’s doubleheader at Ohio Stadium.

Lacrosse will begin at 11 a.m., with the football scrimmage scheduled to kick off at 1:30 p.m. The game will be televised by the Big Ten Network on a replay basis Saturday at 11 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m.

The Buckeyes are looking to break attendance records for the spring football game (75,301), home records for baseball (5,360) and softball (1,175) and set a national record for attendance at a collegiate lacrosse game (55,004) as part of the Scarlet and Gray weekend.

Tickets are available in advance at or at area McDonald’s locations. All spring game tickets are $5, with a portion of the proceeds going to local charities. Tickets will be available on Saturday at the north end of the stadium; game day sales will be cash only. Children age 6 and under will be admitted free.

On Saturday, the public will call windows, located at the southeast corner of St. John Arena, will open at 9:30 a.m. Gates at Ohio Stadium will open at 10 a.m.

All parking lots except the East and West stadium lots will be open for general parking on Saturday.

Honorary captains for the Scarlet and Gray teams will be former OSU standouts Mike Tomczak and Cris Carter. The Buckeyes will be wearing helmet decals with the initials “DS” in memory of Dianna Sharp, the Hilliard school crossing guard who was killed in the line of duty last week.

The Buckeye baseball, softball, women’s lacrosse, rowing, women’s golf, men’s tennis teams are also in action at home this weekend. Go to for more information.
