Ryan Hamby, Junior Tight End
Following up on the N.C. State game
“We did not play as well as we wanted as an offensive line unit at N.C. State. We did not play well enough to win a Big Ten game. We need to play harder and get after it up front. We did not block and protect as well as we could have. We need to step it up and play better up front during the Big Ten season.”

On the Northwestern defense
“They mix things up a lot. They have a couple guys hurt up front, so we need to be ready for anything. They will have some blitzes and new things for us. We need to just stay focused and remember this is a Big Ten game and we set our goal this season to win an outright Big Ten championship. Saturday is the first step toward that and we need to come ready to play.”

Antonio Pittman, Freshman Tailback
On his role in the OSU backfield
“My goal is to just help the team win. Whether I get one carry a game or carry the ball a lot, as long as I help the team win I am doing my job.”

On the difference in running style when he comes into the game for OSU senior Lydell Ross
“We are different runners. I am more shifty. I weigh 196 pounds and he is about 230. He is a power back and I am one who looks to cut back more. He has great moves for his size. Two good backs are hard to stop and changing the pace is even harder to stop.”

Rob Sims, Senior Offensive Tackle
On the different outlook playing Northwestern compared to N.C. State
“Last week was tough. We did not leave the airport for a long time and nobody was having fun on that trip. We have been having fun the last two weeks preparing for this weekend. We look forward to the Big Ten. All the teams in the conference do. They are all fired up to get started. The Big Ten is very competitive.”

On the Northwestern defense
“They have a good defense up front. They are aggressive and play hard. I look forward to this game and to get going after the off week.”

Justin Zwick, Sophomore Quarterback
On whether or not a week off will hurt his progression
“I do not feel a week off will really hurt me. If anything, I think it will help. My body certainly enjoyed the week off and I think that the extra week will only help my progression.”

On playing in a night game
“We were there two years ago for a night game and it was a really good atmosphere and I would not expect anything else this time around.”

Brandon Joe, Senior Fullback
On playing his first game during his senior season
“This game is my season opener and I am really chomping at the bit to get out there and play.”

On heading up to Northwestern
“With any Big Ten road game we know we are going to get that team’s best effort, so it is very important that we bring our ‘A’ game.”

A.J. Hawk, Junior Linebacker
On the challenge of playing at Northwestern
“This game will be a good challenge for us. We know Northwestern has a very good offensive unit, so we have to be at our best if we expect to win. The Big Ten portion of the season is a whole different season and we have to be at our best for every game.”
