Rob Sims, senior offensive tackle
On the offensive line in the Penn State game
“Switching up guys was part of the problem. We did that on the fly, which made it difficult. We had people playing in different positions. As a result of that, there were some holes.”

On the mind-set of the team
“We are going to try to win out. Right now we need to worry about Michigan State. We just need to do the best we can. You know, take it one game at a time.”

A.J. Hawk, senior linebacker
On what was missing from the game
“We were a step away the whole time. We got a hit, but no sack. We need to work on getting off blocks and getting to the quarterback.”

On MSU quarterback Drew Stanton
“You can’t just focus on him. Their whole offense is playing well. He does a great job in the pocket. Plus, he is very tough to stop when he gets outside of the pocket. Their whole offense does a great job.”

Nick Mangold, senior center
On the assessment of last weeks game
“We didn’t make the best of our opportunities. We made crucial turnovers and mistakes at the wrong time. We can’t set up our defense against a good offense the way we did last week.”

On what the goals are now
“Every year you come in wanting to win the national championship. Right now our goal is to win every week. We need to win as a group. We need to come together and do great things for this university.”

Antonio Pittman, sophomore tailback
On setting up the run against the MSU defense
“Hopefully that is what we do. That is up to the coaches. Whether they run it more or not depends on what they want to do. We need to play as a team. I will just be happy with a win.” On where he is at physically
“I feel like I can do more. There is still a lot of season left and many games to be played. We will keep working hard. I guess we will see where it goes from here.”
