COLUMBUS, Ohio — Five members of the 2017-18 OSU women’s ice hockey team have been named as Krampade All-American Scholars, the American Hockey Coaches Association announced on Friday.

To qualify as a Krampade All-American Scholar a student-athlete must have attained a grade-point-average of 3.6 in both semesters of the 2017-18 season while participating in at least 40 percent of the games played by the team during the season.

The Buckeye honorees include recent graduates Lauren Spring and Julianna Iafallo, as well as current Buckeyes Madison Field, Rebecca Freiburger and Jacyn Reeves, winner of the NCAA Elite 90 award for the NCAA women’s ice hockey championship in 2018.

The Buckeyes are gearing up for the start of season, set to get underway at Quinnipiac on September 28.
