Five Buckeyes Named Academic All-Big Ten

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Five members of the Ohio State women’s golf team have received Academic All-Big Ten recognition, the conference office announced Wednesday. To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Junior Alanis Sakuma (2nd selection – Aviation Management)
Junior Yukie Sasaki (1st selection – Hospitality Management)
Junior Sofia Seldemirova (2nd selection – Marketing)
Senior Adeena Shears (3rd selection – Human Development and Family Science)
Sophomore Skylar Thompson (1st selection – Speech and Hearing Science)

The group joins six Buckeyes to garner OSU Scholar-Athlete distinction and Shears, who earned her degree in human development and family science at spring commencement last month.
