COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State rowing team’s First Varsity Four has been named Big Ten Boat of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The boat of Helen Sudhoff, Chelsea Harpool, Stephanie Gase, Ashley Saba and Annie Jachthuber raced a time of 7:19.5, nearly 15 seconds faster than Notre Dame, in its opening race of the day. In its second race of the day, the boat improved to a 7:08.2 finish, crossing the finish 15 seconds ahead of Duke. The Buckeyes’ First Varsity Four concluded the regular season a perfect 9-0 in races and 25-0 overall.
The Buckeyes have a few weeks off from competition before traveling to Indianapolis for Big Ten Championships May 13.
