%^$Northwestern, led by medalist Jess Daley, shot 876 and claimed its second consecutive Kepler Invitational title. Host Ohio State finished in second place, 10 shots behind the Wildcats with a score of 886.%^$

%^$Daley finished six under par at 210, seven strokes ahead of his teammate, Luke Donald, and Michigan’s Micheal Harris%^$

%^$OSU was led by David Wagenseller (So., Wilmington, Ohio/Wilmington) who tied for fifth place with a score of 220. Mike Austin (Jr., Burton, Mich./Flint Powers Catholic) shot a 223 to tie for ninth place and Jason Oien (So., Westerville, Ohio/Westerville North) tied for 13th place with a score of 224.%^$

%^$First Energy Invite Up Next
%^$After hosting the Kepler Invite last weekend, OSU will remain in the Buckeye state for the second week in a row when they participate in the First Energy Intercollegiate Invitational in Akron.%^$

%^$Hosted by the Akron University, the two-day, 54-hole invitational will be played on the par-72 North Course of the Firestone Country Club, home of the World Series of Golf.%^$

%^$Top Finish
%^$Ohio State’s second place finish tied their top finish of the season. The Buckeyes also finished second at the Northern Intercollegiate Invitational, their first competition of the fall season (Oct 1-2). OSU scored an 891 to beat out 11 other opponents in West Lafayette, Ind.%^$

%^$Top Finish II
%^$Wagenseller’ fifth place finish at the Kepler Invite was the highest a Buckeye has placed this season.%^$

%^$The previous best was Wagenseller’s eighth place finish at the Marshall Invite (April 7-8). Wageneseller and Ryan Dennis (So., Stow, Ohio/Stow) both shot 224 and finished ninth at the first event of the season, the Northern Intercollegiate Invitational (Oct. 1-2). Justin Collins (Fr., Ironton, Ohio/Ironton) finished ninth with a score of 218 at the Matlock Invitational (March 6-7).%^$

%^$Ohio State will face off with 11 opponents who were at the Scarlett Course for the Kepler Invite last weekend this weekend in Akron.%^$

%^$Besides host Akron, Toledo, Miami (Ohio), Kent State, Illinois, Wisconsin, Penn State, Indiana, Purdue, Iowa and Notre Dame will be back in Ohio for the second consecutive weekend.
