Seven Buckeyes will be making their first appearance at the championships, including women’s sabre specialists Falencia Miller and Margarita Tschomakov, men’s sabreist Max Stearns, men’s foilist Colin Sutter, women’s epee specialist Miriam Baranov and men’s epee specialist Igor Tolkachev. Julia Tikhonova will fence this season in epee after competing at the 2007 championships in foil.
