COLUMBUS, Ohio — Brian Robiskie, a senior captain from Cleveland, Ohio, was named a first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American for the second-consecutive season Wednesday. Robiskie holds a 3.54 grade-point average in marketing and is a finalist for the National Football Foundation’s Draddy Trophy.

This season he led the Buckeyes with 37 catches for 419 yards and eight touchdowns. His best game of the season came against Minnesota Sept. 27 when he hauled in eight passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns.

Robiskie is eighth on Ohio State’s all-time receptions list with 122 catches for 1,750 yards. His 24 career touchdowns are good for fourth place, just behind Ohio State greats David Boston (34), Cris Carter (27) and Santonio Holmes (25).

Robiskie is the fifth Academic All-America honoree under head coach Jim Tressel.
