COLUMBUS, Ohio– Evan Turner, the 2010 National Player of the Year in men’s college basketball, will have a banner with his jersey No. 21 unveiled during a halftime ceremony at the Ohio State vs. Michigan game Feb. 16 at Value City Arena.
Turner, a native of Chicago, played for the Buckeyes from 2008-10. He was the fifth national player of the year in Ohio State history. Jerry Lucas, twice, Gary Bradds and Jim Jackson also earned the honor for the Buckeyes.
Turner also was the 2010 Big Ten Player of the Year and a 2010 First Team All-American. Following his junior season, he was selected with the No. 2 pick of the 2010 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He currently plays for the Boston Celtics.

Flint Water Drive
Buckeye fans can help relief efforts for the water crisis in Flint, Mich., as the Ohio State Department of Athletics hosts a bottled water drive at upcoming home athletic events at the Jerome Schottenstein Center this February.
Cases of water bottles, gallon jugs or large containers will be accepted at the football equipment truck stationed near the Northwest rotunda of the Schottenstein Center.
