Eighteen Gymnasts Earn WCGA Scholastic All-America Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Eighteen Ohio State women’s gymnasts received Scholastic Academic All-America honors for earning a 3.5 overall grade point average or a 3.5 grade point average for 2021-22, the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced Wednesday.

As a team, the Buckeyes earned a cumulative GPA of 3.7600, good for the best in the Big Ten and sixth overall nationally. Since the 2017-18 season, Ohio State has jumped an average of 23 spots per year in the team GPA ranking. The team was awarded the Varsity O Award for the best small roster GPA among Ohio State teams this spring.

Leading the Buckeyes in the classroom this year were Claire Gagliardi, Hannah Oliveros and Zoe Schweitzer who each earned unblemished 4.0 GPAs for the 2021-22 academic year. In all, 10 Buckeyes have recorded either cumulative or 2021-22 GPAs of over 3.90 or higher.
