MHKY: No. 14 Buckeyes Advance to CCHA Quarterfinals with 7-1 Win over Bowling Green to Complete Sweep
Behind a hat trick and four-point game from senior Corey Elkins, the No. 14 Ohio State men’s hockey team defeated Bowling Green, 7-1, in the OSU Ice Rink to advance to the quarterfinals of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association tournament. Ohio State, the tournament’s No. 5-seed, will travel to Fairbanks, Alaska, next weekend for a best-of-three series with the No. 4-seed Nanooks. The Buckeyes, now 22-12-4 on the year, beat the Falcons, 5-4, in the series opener. The No. 12 seed Falcons end their season 11-24-3. – MORE –
