A portion of the proceeds to benefit the Stefanie Spielman Fund for breast cancer research
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Department of Athletics would like to invite you to help “Pack the Schott” this Sunday, Feb. 21 as the Ohio State women’s basketball team takes on Big Ten rival Michigan State at 3 p.m. ET at Value City Arena. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to show their support for the fight against breast cancer, part of the WBCA Pink Zone initiative, which is a global, unified effort for the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
The Spielman Fund will be on hand accepting donations. Chris Spielman and his children also will be on hand for a special check presentation during the game.
Among the many other perks to Sunday’s game are:
The Buckeyes are ranked seventh in the country, have a record of 25-3 and 13-2 in the Big Ten and have already clinched a record sixth straight Big Ten championship outright. They are striving for a top seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament and need your help against one of their toughest Big Ten rivals.
