Tyler Carpenter rejoined the Ohio State performance staff in May 2021 as a Director of Strength and Conditioning after spending nearly four years at the University of Pittsburgh in the role of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports.  Carpenter joined Pitt after being at Ohio State as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, beginning in June 2013.  He also spent two years working as an intern and graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach with the University of Tennessee Lady Vols and other Olympic Sports. Prior to his time in Knoxville, Tyler held various roles throughout Ohio State Athletics including stints as an intern with football strength and conditioning and athletics administration and five season as a manager for the football team from 2006-2011. Tyler received his BSBA from the Fisher College of Business, and his MS from University of Tennessee in Kinesiology.

Carpenter resides in Dublin.
