Terence Dials, the 2006 Big Ten Player of the Year and 2015 inductee into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame, was named the director of professional development with the men’s basketball program Sept. 4, 2019. He begins his fourth season with the men’s basketball program in 2022-23.

Dials, who lettered in 2002 and then from 2004-06, played 132 games during his career, scoring 1,566 points and grabbing 867 rebounds. His point total rates No. 14 all-time in Ohio State history while his rebound total is ranked No. 5.

His duties will primarily include providing and arranging professional development and community service opportunities for the Buckeyes. Dials will work with the Eugene D. Smith Leadership Institute to arrange internships, mentors, job fairs and other personal and career growth initiatives for student-athletes. He also will provide academic support, oversight and mentoring.
