Quinn Barham joined the Ohio State football strength and conditioning staff in January 2016 and is in his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Buckeyes. He’s been a part of consecutive Big Ten Conference championship teams with Ohio State, in 2017 and 2018.

This is Barham’s seventh season as a strength and conditioning coach after starting his career in 2013 at his high school alma mater – Hillside H.S. in Durham, N.C. – and quickly moving on to assistant positions on the strength staffs at the University of North Carolina (for the 2014 season) and North Carolina State University (2015).

Barham is a 2011 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in kinesiology. He was a member of the Nittany Lions’ team from 2007 through the 2011 seasons. He was named a team captain as a graduate senior in 2011 and was a two year starter along the offensive line with 26 career starts and a total of 38 games played.

Barham was twice named to the Academic All-Big Ten Conference team – 2009 and 2011 – and he earned honorable mention all-Big Ten status on the playing field in both 2010 and 2011. He was named Penn State’s Red Worrell Award winner in 2010 as the most improved offensive player and he was the recipient of the team’s outstanding offensive lineman award – the Dick Maginnis Award – in 2011.

He spent time in the NFL with the Detroit Lions after his Penn State career before entering the coaching ranks.

Barham is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a Certified Sport Performance Coach with United States of America Weightlifting (USAW).

Barham is engaged to Chassidy Hinton, from Raleigh, N.C. The couple has a May 2019 wedding planned.
