Mo Lavallee, a 2020 graduate of Syracuse University who spent five years with the Orange’s women’s lacrosse program was hired as the Buckeyes’ Director of Operations in the summer of 2021.

Lavallee was an integral part of the SU women’s program under head coach Gary Gait. She handled all travel, meals and itineraries during road trips in addition to creating video and social media content as well as newsletters and other public relations content. Lavallee also facilitated logistical needs for youth tournaments.

“We are thrilled to bring Mo on as our Director of Operations,” said Myers. “She brings with her great experience from Syracuse and we know she’ll hit the ground running here in Columbus. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome her into the Buckeye Lacrosse family!”

“I want to thank everyone who has helped get me to this point,” said Lavallee. “It’s a dream come true to join Buckeye Nation. I am extremely excited and thankful for Coach Myers for this opportunity and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Buckeye Lacrosse. Go Bucks!”

Lavallee, who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse, earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and rhetorical studies with minors in marketing and sport management, before completing her master’s degree in Sport & Venue Management. During the 2019-20 school year, she was an intern in Syracuse’s athletics communication office and assisted in the publicity and promotion of a variety of sports. She also worked at Syracuse as an athletics academic tutor.

“Mo is an exceptional person that focuses on the details of getting things done,” said Gait, who served as SU’s women’s head coach from 2007 through 2021 before recently being hired as Syracuse’s men’s head coach. “Syracuse women’s lacrosse was very fortunate to have her for the past five years. We know she will be an excellent addition to the Ohio State lacrosse staff.”
