Dan Reilly completed his first season as men’s volleyball volunteer coach in 2020. He had previously worked as the video coordinator for the women’s program.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Reilly came from the University of Charleston, where he assisted the men’s and women’s volleyball teams. During his time as an assistant coach, Reilly focused on the offense and blocking schemes, helping lead the squad to a 42-29 record and a second-place finish in the Mountain East Conference twice. He was also an integral part of coaching three first team All-MEC players, as well as helping drive the team to a pair of AVCA Team Academic Awards.
Reilly’s time with the men’s volleyball team in the spring of 2018 led to a 16-10 record, with a 5-9 mark in the EIVA, both of which are program records. He was tasked with analyzing video and preparing scouting reports, as well as assisting with offensive and defensive schemes for the Golden Eagles.
Reilly attended Penn State Altoona, where he played for the men’s volleyball team. His fifth year took him to the main Penn State campus and he worked with the men’s volleyball team as an assistant manager while finishing his degree in kinesiology.
Reilly received his master’s degree in strategic leadership from the University of Charleston in 2017.
