position Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach
Chelsea Barr joined the Buckeye strength and conditioning program in November of 2018.
Prior to Ohio State, Barr was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Illinois working with Softball, Swimming, Men’s Gymnastics, and Women’s Gymnastics. Her other sport duties during her stint there also included Volleyball and Track. Prior to Illinois, Barr was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Nebraska and Indiana University. She also served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Georgia, as well as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Tennessee and the National Strength and Conditioning Association headquarters.
Barr earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fitness and Human Performance from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2012. She went on to receive her masters in kinesiology with a concentration in strength conditioning and fitness at the University of Georgia.
Barr is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a certified strength and conditioning coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach Association.
