Amy Miller rejoined the women’s golf program as the director of operations prior to the 2021-22 season. She was previously a student-athlete and an assistant coach for the Buckeyes as well as a staff member in the OSU athletic business office.
She took on additional duties as an assistant coach in 2021-22 as well.
Miller, whose maiden name is Langhals, competed for the Buckeyes from 1993-97. During her career at Ohio State, she was a three-time All-Big Ten honoree and capped off her career as the 1997 Big Ten Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-America honoree.
As a senior, she was named the Ohio State Female Athlete of the Year after leading the Buckeyes to a Big Ten title while capturing the individual championship. That season the Buckeyes won the NCAA East Regional before finishing tied for eighth at the NCAA championships.
A four-year letterwinner, Miller was a two-time captain and began her career as the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. She claimed medalist honors three times during her career while leading the Buckeyes to victory in eight tournaments and14 runner-up finishes.
After graduating, Miller was a member of the LPGA tour in 2001 and 2002 and competed in two U.S. Women’s Open championships in 2001 and 2004.
She returned to Ohio State as an assistant coach in 2005 and coached through the 2009-10 season. She helped guide the Buckeyes to a pair of team victories, five NCAA Regional appearances and an appearance in the 2009 NCAA Championship in Owings Mills, Maryland. She also coached three first team All-Big Ten players as well as 2009 Big Ten Freshman of the Year Vicky Villanueva.
Following her assistant coaching stint in 2010, Miller transitioned into a staff role within the athletic department for two years and then returned in 2018 to a role within the athletics business office.
Miller was inducted into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.
Miller married Greg Miller, a former Ohio State women’s soccer assistant coach, in 2010 and the couple have two children, Colin and Sophia.
