COLUMBUS, Ohio –Following the completion of the 2018 Big Ten Field Tournament, junior Esther Clotet and senior Kelsey Nolan were named to the All-Tournament team.
Clotet and Nolan both earned points in the tournament in the quarterfinal game against Rutgers. In double overtime, Esther Clotet secured a semifinal spot for the Buckeyes, scoring with under three minutes left to play. Nolan recorded the assist on the goal that sent Ohio State to the championship weekend of the tournament for the first time since 2013.
Clotet has scored 11 goals on the season, leading the Buckeyes and recording the fifth most goals in the conference. Nolan has five assists on the season, tied for second best on the team.
The quarterfinal game against Rutgers was the first time in seven years that the team has hosted a tournament game.
Ohio State’s championship run was cut short in the semifinals with a loss to eventual tournament champion Maryland. The Buckeyes finished the 2018 season 12-8 and 5-5 in conference competition.
