WENJING DENG hails from Ontario, Canada where she was a Granite and Areitac Synchronized Swimming club team and duet member. She made quite the impact her freshman year after placing second in her solo at the North Regional Championship, proving to be an integral member of the Scarlet Squad. She helped her team to a pair of national championships during her collegiate career while excelling academically. She is a three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete, two-time Collegiate All-American and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. Deng has represented the Buckeyes well, having also served on the homecoming court this past fall. She plans to stay a fifth year at Ohio State to finish her undergrad and possibly get a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Thank you, Wenjing!

ALEX MEREDITH-LE ROUX comes to Ohio State from California where she swam with the Santa Clara Aquamaids with teammate Stephanie Thielemann. She had a distinguished career prior to college and continued the momentum by bringing her talents to Columbus. She helped the team to two national championships and is an OSU Scholar-Athlete. LeRoux’s favorite Buckeye memory was rushing the football field after defeating Michigan in overtime in 2016 and storming the field again in 2018 after a huge victory. She plans to attend grad school for speech-language pathology to become a speech therapist after graduation. Thank you, Alex!

LANE STARRETT hails from Mequon, Wis. where she attended Homestead High School. As a sophomore, she competed in four team events and placed second at Richmond, William & Mary and Michigan meets. She helped the program win two national championships through her time as a synchronized swimmer. Her favorite memory as a Buckeye is similar to many of her teammates: securing the program’s 31st National Championship in her junior season. As a Zoology major, Starrett plans to attend vet school after graduation. Thank you, Lane!

STEPHANIE THIELEMANN Before coming to Ohio State, Thielemann trained with the Santa Clara Aquamaids alongside fellow Buckeye Alex Meredith-Le Roux. In 2016, Thielemann went undefeated in B figures and was the recipient of an academic award from USA Synchro. She helped the Scarlet Team take the 2017 national championship in front of a home crowd in Columbus and successfully defended that title in 2018, which are some of her favorite memories as a Buckeye. She also competed in a trio with Deng and Jager that received third place at the U.S. Collegiate Nationals. The psychology major is a three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete with a bright future. ELIZABETH WALSH An Ohio native, Walsh attended Mount Notre Dame High School. She was a member of the Cincinnati Synchrogators from 2008 until her graduation in 2015. She competed in both duet and trio routines throughout her sophomore and junior seasons and experienced much success as a Buckeye. Walsh was a figure winner at the William & Mary meet in both 2017 and 2018. Thank you, Elizabeth!

RACHEL WARREN is a sport industry major from Rancho Palo Verdes, California. Warren hopes to utilize her degree to one day work in the marketing or social media department of a professional sports team after attending grad school for Sports Management. A three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete, Warren brings an undeniable energy to the synchronized swimming team. In her junior season, she competed a duet that received first place at Richmond and William & Mary meets and was a member of the team that took first at multiple meets. Warren’s favorite memory as a Buckeye was winning the program’s 31st National Championship last year. Thank you, Rachel!
