Columbus, Ohio — Tournament officials announced today the field of celebrity participants for the 2017 Copart Celebrity Pro-Am hosted by Clark Kellogg. A total of 30 local and nationally renowned stars of the sporting world will team up with two amateurs and one Web.com Tour professional at Double Eagle Club on Monday, August 28 at 1:00 P.M. in advance of the 11th playing of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, which begins competition on Thursday, August 31 at The Ohio State University’s Scarlet Course. Media availability for the participants listed below will be from 11 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. on Monday (8/28).
The field for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship will compete over 72 holes of stroke play, with a cut to the top-65 players and ties after 36 holes. Golf Channel will broadcast tournament coverage from Thursday’s opening round to the trophy presentation on Sunday in high definition.
The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship raised a total of $1,723,105 for charitable organizations last year, including $1,604,500 for pediatric cancer research and treatment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The total marked the largest single-season charitable donation raised by the tournament for the hospital in the history of the Web.com Tour Finals event. Since its inception in 2007 the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship has donated a total of over $7.3 million in support of the hospital’s pediatric cancer program.
The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship’s Charity Ticket Program, now entering its 10th year, allows for participating charity organizations to receive donations based on the number of “charity tickets” redeemed at the tournament.
