Columbus, Ohio – Ohio State catcher Jaime Chenevey (Sr., Wooster, Ohio) was named to the 1999 GTE Academic All-District IV University Division Softball Second Team. The senior will graduate in June with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education.

“Jaime has always taken great pride in her academics,” head coach Linda Kalafatis said. “This is an honor she has definitely worked hard for and is more than deserving of.

The District IV team is made up of student-athletes from Division I schools in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. To be nominated, student-athlete must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. The team members are selected by a vote of members of the college Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within the district. The GTE Academic All-District Team is part of the GTE Academic All-America program.
