The Ohio State Swim Camp is directed by the Ohio State University coaching staff with a focus placed on skill development, improving stroke technique and having fun in an elite, positive learning environment for campers, age 8-18. The residential option is open to any and all campers entering grades 5 – 12 as of the Fall of 2019. The camp features individualized instruction and analysis, a combination of in-water, dryland and strength training exercises, and classroom work. To enhance the overall camp experience of all participants, it is highly recommended (but not required) that campers have competitive swimming experience prior to attending.
Considered the premier collegiate recreation center in the country, camp is held in the Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC), which contains two state-of-the-art aquatic facilities–the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion and the Recreation Natatorium.

Camp instructors are carefully selected based on their expertise and background in swimming and desire to teach/mentor campers. Experienced and mature counselors provide supervision for all campers, residential or commuter, while on campus. All camp staff members are required to complete a working with minors course and undergo a background check conducted by the Ohio State Human Resources Department. Staff members are typically current/former college athletes.
The Summer Camps are open to any and all ages 8-18. The overnight option is only available to campers entering grades 5-12 in the Fall of 2019, no exceptions.
