This camp is intended for the advanced well-conditioned wrestler. In addition to a great deal of sparring and live wrestling, campers will experience a demanding physical, conditioning program. This intensive camp system has helped produce state and national champions across the nation. Athletes who attend this camp can expect to train 4 times a day. Campers can expect to go through rigorous early morning conditioning, late morning technique and hard drilling, midafternoon live wrestling and late evening review sessions. Campers will be expected to bring their running shoes and plenty of changes of workout clothes. This camp is open to all comers, but we ask only those who are serious about being the BEST attend this camp.
The fee for the each session is $465. This camp is for overnight campers only. The camp is open to any and all boys in grades 7 (as of Fall 2018) – 2018 High School Graduates. Full payment is required at the time of online registration. You may register online by visiting OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps. A 3% processing fee will be added to all online registrations. If registering by mail, please make your check payable to The Ohio State University. Any non-scholastic group of 5 or more that wishes to pay with one check for the entire group must do so ahead of time via mail. Any non-scholastic organization with a group of 5 or more registering the day of the camp must pay with credit card, cash, or money order. No exceptions will be made.
Discounts are not available through online registration. Discounts cannot be combined. If registering as a group, all registrations must be submitted together, along with payment, by mail. Please make checks payable to The Ohio State University.
COACHES DISCOUNT: Groups of 10 or more may receive free room and board for one (1) coach. Groups of 20 or more may receive free room and board for up to two (2) coaches. Coaches that do not meet the aforementioned criteria or any additional coaches will be required to pay $220 to attend camp. Please see Coach Registration Form for more information.
GROUP DISCOUNT: Groups of 10 or more may receive a discount of $25 off each camper’s registration fee. For the Intensive Camps, groups of 5 or more may receive a discount of $25 off each camper’s registration fee. If registering as a group, all registrations must be submitted together, along with payment, by mail. Group discounts do not apply for the team camp.
MULTI CAMP DISCOUNT: Campers who attend one (1) Ohio State Wrestling Summer Camp during 2018 will be eligible to receive a $50 discount on each additional Ohio State Wrestling 2018 Summer Camp.
SIBLING DISCOUNT: When one individual attends a 2018 Wrestling Summer Camp, each additional sibling from the same family may be eligible for a $25 discount for the same camp.
FACULTY/STAFF DISCOUNT: Children of The Ohio State University faculty and staff may be eligible for a 20 percent discount of the total cost of attending one (1) Ohio State Wrestling 2018 Summer Camp. Proof of employment (i.e., copy of Employee ID or BuckID) and payment must be provided at the time of registration by mail.
MILITARY/SERVICE MEMBER DISCOUNT: Children of ALL past and present service men/women (Police Officer, Fire Fighter, EMS, Military) may be eligible for a 5 percent discount of the total cost of attending one (1) Ohio State Wrestling 2017 Summer Camp. Proof of employment (i.e., military ID) must be presented at check-in.
REQUIRED FORMS FOR PARTICIPATION
The Parent Consent, Waiver & Release Form AND the Concussion Information Form are REQUIRED for all participants. Please visit OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps to obtain these forms. Please complete, sign and send the forms with your child to check-in – do not send the forms to us prior to the date of camp. Athletes will not be permitted to participate without these forms.
Campers whose travel plans require them to arrive the night before the start of camp may stay in the camp dorm for an additional fee. There are a limited number of beds available. The lodging is on a first come, first served basis. Please email Makena Lynch (Asst. Director, Camps) at firstname.lastname@example.org at least one week prior to the start of camp for more information.
Campers are responsible for bringing their own equipment. We strongly recommend athletes to bring & wear headgear at all camp sessions. Equipment will not be provided to ANY camper.
The Ohio State Wrestling Camp will provide a shuttle service to and from the airport for all requests received no later than one (1) week prior to camp. The fee for airport transportation is $30 roundtrip. Email Nickolai Timbs (email@example.com) after registering for camp in order to receive a shuttle info packet. Port Columbus International Airport is only 15 minutes from the Ohio State campus.
Upon processing of each registration, a confirmation notice will be sent by email. A packet of “Important Information for Registered Campers” (including the Parent Consent & Waiver Form and Concussion Information Form) will be posted online at OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the camp. This packet will not be separately mailed to campers.
Please check your email regularly, as this is our primary method of communication with campers and their parents.
A refund less a $50 administrative fee will be issued for any cancellation received at least 30 days prior to the start of camp. A refund less a $100 administrative fee will be issued for any cancellation received at least 14 days prior to the start of camp. The administrative fee and 3% online processing fee are not refundable for ANY reason.
Because we have to guarantee our number of campers in order to prepare for camp, any cancellation received less than 1 week prior to the start of each camp will not be eligible for any refund except in the case of injury, illness, or mandatory school event, in which case supporting documentation from a doctor or school is required.
A camp fee may not be transferred to any other Ohio State sports camp. A camp fee may not be transferred to any other camper. All cancellation notices must be received by the deadline above and submitted by mail, email, or fax – no phone calls or voicemails. All supporting documentation required for a refund to be approved and processed must be submitted within 10 days after the conclusion of the camp session. Refund requests must be submitted on the Refund Request Form available at OhioStateBuckeyes.com/camps. Campers who are injured while at camp but remain at camp will not be eligible for any refund.

By registering for a Buckeye Sports Camp, I authorize employees or agents of the Department of Athletics to record and edit into video/photograph the name, likeness, image and voice of this camper and to use all or parts of the video/photograph in print and electronic materials for the Department to illustrate and promote the Department, Buckeye Sports Camps and/or The Ohio State University and for no other purpose.
It is not permissible for boosters to provide expenses for individuals to attend any camps by the Ohio State Department of Athletics. Expenses include but are not limited to: lodging, meals, transportation, and/or camp registration fees.
