TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Women’s Gymnastics team lost its first meet of the season to No. 5 Alabama 190.275-195.075.

%^$Alabama’s rookies started the event with a bang, by winning the top three spots in the vault. Andree Pickens posted a 9.875 for the first place title. With a score of 9.725, Lindsey Vagedes (So., Warrenville, Ill.) placed fourth. Susan Eckman (Sr., Boardman, Ohio) Jill McMillon (Jr., Tipp City, Ohio) and Jill Tucker (Fr., Tallmadge, Ohio) scored a 9.70 on the vault for three top 10 finishes.

%^$Eckman placed second in the all-around competition with a score of 38.10, three-tenths behind Alabama’s Robin Hawkins who took first place. Vagedes took fourth in the all-around with a score of 37.70.

%^$OSU takes to the road next weekend when they meet Bowling Green, Sat., Jan. 16 at the Eppler Complex starting at 4 p.m.
