COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State will head to Durham, N.C., this season to square-off with Duke in the 2017 version of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge which was released by the conferences on Wednesday. The game is set for Thursday, Nov. 30 with tip time and television designation to be announced later this fall.

This will just be the second meeting all-time between the two teams as the first also came as part of the challenge. The then No. 3 Buckeyes went to No. 11 Duke on Dec. 3, 2009 and the Blue Devils came away with an 83-67 victory despite 20 points and 18 rebounds from Jantel Lavender. Former Buckeye assistant coach Joy Cheek scored four points and had an assist for Duke in the win.

The Buckeyes are looking to reverse the recent trend as they are 2-8 in the previous 10 years of the challenge. OSU has lost five-straight after winning back-to-back games over Virginia and Florida State in 2010 and 2011. Last year, Sierra Calhoun hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to tie the game with Miami and send it to overtime. But the Hurricanes were able to pull away in the extra session for a 94-89 victory in Columbus.

In the last three ACC/Big Ten Challenge games, point guard Kelsey Mitchell has averaged 25.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists while forward Alexa Hart has posted 9.7 points. 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game.
