COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State pistol team traveled to Charleston, S.C. last weekend to take on the Citadel. The Buckeyes came away victorious, adding to their streak of undefeated regular season wins, which now spans more than two years of competition. Against the Citadel, Ohio State swept all events, with freshmen Glenn Zimmerman, Mike Soklaski and Irina Andrianova leading the way. 

Zimmerman captured the 3-gun aggregate (1586) as well as the standard pistol (558) events, while Soklaski took the other two open events – free pistol (517) and air pistol (559). In the women’s competition, Andrianova continued building on a strong start to the season with a win in the 2-gun aggregate (921), as well as first-place finishes in the air pistol (359) and sport pistol (562). 

In open aggregate, the team tallied a 6391 compared to a score of 6115 from Citadel. 

Ohio State’s next event will take place at the Olympic Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Competition is scheduled to begin Friday, Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. and will resume Saturday, Nov. 8 at 9 a.m.
