COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s track and field team will be represented in three events at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships scheduled to take place this Friday and Saturday, March 14-15, in Albuquerque, N.M.
Junior sprinter Timothy Faust competes Friday in the 200-meter dash with the semifinal heats set for 8:05 p.m. MT. Eight will then move on to the finals which are scheduled only one-hour later at 9:05 p.m. MT. Faust recently took second-place in both the 200-meter and the 60-meter dashes at the Big Ten indoor championships which were held Feb. 28-March 1 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
Representing the Buckeyes in the 60-meter hurdles will be senior Demoye Bogle and redshirt freshman Donovan Robertson. Bogle and Robertson share the school record in the event with a blazing time of 7.65 seconds, both coming this season. Bogle set the record in the first meet of the season, the Buckeye Classic inside French Field House, while Robertson tied the record recently with a silver-medal performance at the B1G championships.
The 60-meter hurdles semifinals will take place Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. MT with the top-8 moving on to the finals Saturday at 6:20 p.m. MT.
The Ohio State 4×400-meter relay team will hit the track at 8:05 p.m. MT Saturday night in the last scheduled event of the championships. The squad consisting of sophomore Champ Page, senior Jordan Rispress, senior Javon Walker and freshman Lamar Bruton, along with alternate, sophomore Armand Austin, recently raced to a first-place time of 3:07.47 at the B1G championships, the third-fastest time in school indoor history.
