COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 2019-20 tournament schedule for the Ohio State women’s golf team has been set, head coach and director of golf Therese Hession announced Monday. The reigning Big Ten champions will play 10 regular-season tournaments, with four fall tournaments starting in September and the six-tournament spring slate beginning in February.
Ohio State opens the schedule at the Inverness Women’s Collegiate at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, Sept. 16-17 before traveling the Chicago Sept. 30-Oct. 1 for the Windy City Collegiate at Glen View Club. The Tar Heel Invitational awaits at Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C., Oct. 11-13 before the Buckeyes conclude the fall schedule at the UH Invitational at The Ocean Club in Nassau, Bahamas, Oct. 28-30.
The Buckeyes then host one of the premier collegiate tournaments nationally for the 25th-consecutive year, the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, Feb. 9-11 at Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., to kick off the spring schedule, before heading to the Westbrook Invitational Feb. 23-24 at Westbrook Village Golf Club in Peoria, Ariz. Ohio State then travels to Kaneohe, Hawaii, for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational March 10-11 at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course and John’s Island, S.C., for the Briar’s Creek Invitational March 16-17 at Briar’s Creek Golf Club.
The Buckeyes wrap up March at the Clemson Invitational at the Reserve at Lake Keowee in Keowee, S.C., March 27-29 before closing the regular season at the 40th Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational at the Ohio State University Golf Club Scarlet Course April 18-19.
Postseason play begins as the Buckeyes will look to defend their Big Ten Championship April 24-26 at TPC River’s Bend in Maineville, Ohio. NCAA Regionals will be held May 11-13 with NCAA Championships taking place May 22-27 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
