Bandon, Oregon—The Buckeyes shot a collective 284, four-under par, in the second round of the Bandon Dunes Invitational to keep a two-stroke lead over the field and place themselves at one-under par for the tournament. Daniel Wetterich followed up a first round 69 with a one-under, 71, accomplished by birdieing the last four of his six holes today to get to four-under and move into third-place with one round to play. Caleb Ramirez is also positioned in the top-10, turning in a second round two-under to take a share of seventh place at one-under par. Will Grimmer bounced back to shoot a 70 that included three birdies and the Buckeyes lone eagle of the day. Sophomore Laken Hinton carded a one-over, 73, to move him into a tie for 23rd place. The fifth man for Ohio State, Will Voetsch, is tied for 67th place at nine-over.
Freshman Grant Engle shot the lowest round of his young career after turning in a two-under, 70, to put the individual in a tie for 55th at seven-over par. Jack Mancinotti and Kevin Stone, the other two individuals, each shot 76 and placed them at four-over and eight-over respectively.
The final round of the Bandon Dunes Invitational tees off tomorrow morning at 11:30AM ET.
