Aug. 5: The Ohio State men’s basketball team departed from Columubus at 11 a.m. on a direct flight to the Bahamas. A couple hours of flight time later, the team landed, cleared customs and boarded several small busses for the Atlantis Resort. Players and staff spent the later afternoon exploring the complex, taking advantage of the sunny 90-degree weather at the various nearby pools and beaches.

The team has a late dinner planned Tuesday evening with the rest of the night available for more exploration.

Aug. 6: Practice Day. The Buckeyes began practice just after noon for a scheduled 90-minute session. The players will spend the afternoon on their own for lunch before heading out to take in a USA Soccer game this evening. 

Aug. 7: Game Day No. 1. Trey McDonald recorded a double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in Ohio State’s 88-66 win over the Bahamas All Stars. Sam Thompson contributed 11 points, four rebounds, two steals, two assists and a pair of blocks. Freshman Keita Bates-Diop led the Buckeyes with 16 points. Check out the recap and stats HERE.

Aug. 8: Game Day No. 2. Six Buckeyes scored in double figures in a 115-63 win over the Providence Storm Friday. Sophomore Marc Loving led all scorers with 19 points. Freshman Keita Bates-Diop added 18 points and senior Sam Thompson tallied 17. Check out the recap and stats HERE.

Aug. 9: Off Day. The team and travel party ventured off the island on a three-hour catamaran tour. The team saw some sights, went snorkeling and had lunch during the excursion before returning to Atlantis for a free afternoon and evening. Aug. 10: Travel Day. Ohio State will spend the day traveling back to Columbus after a six day trip to the Bahamas.
