COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State pistol Team outpointed the US Naval Academy, 6399-6105, over the weekend to remain unbeaten on the season. The Buckeyes battled Navy in Columbus, Ohio, claiming all the events in both open (free, standard, and air), as well as the two women’s events (sport pistol and 40-shot air pistol).

The University of Akron did not field a full team, but the Zip’s Bryce Tucker won the standard pistol event with a 543 to edge out Navy’s Tim Steinberg with a 542. Buckeye junior Seth Bearjar won free pistol with a personal-best score of 526. The final open event, air pistol, was taken by Buckeye senior Greyson McCaig with a 557. McCaig also took the open three-gun aggregate with a 1606.

In the women’s competition, Buckeye freshman Irina Andrianova fired a 567 in sport pistol for first. She was also victorious in the 40-shot air pistol with a 366. Andrianova’s two victories gave her the two-gun aggregate at 933.
